Liz: Dude I’m so boreedddd.

Nick: Wassup man?

Liz: I don’t have anything to do and I don’t have anyone to hang out with. Nick: Aw man, that sucks! I wish I could hang out with you but I have summer classes.

Liz: Dang that sucks fam. Yeah, you’re kind of my only friend so I don’t know what to do.

Nick: Well man, have you tried hanging out with anyone from Church? I know a lot of them are free this summer. Maybe you can hang out with them and do something fun. 

Liz: At church? Who?

Nick: Well, I mean you have friends in your CCE class, the mission league group, and the youth group. That’s three groups of friends just there.

Liz: That’s true but how would I become close with them?

Nick: You could always go to different church events with the groups. There is mission league meetings and different mission league activities that you could participate in. I heard that they have picnics and pilgrimages. The Youth have many activities that they conduct at church like car washes, bake sales, and potlucks. I’m sure that if you go to these things, you can make some friends.

Liz: Picnics and potlucks do sound fun. Maybe we could do some volunteering or something. 

Nick: That’s a great idea man! You should tell that to them and maybe everyone can help out at a food bank or something. Remember the bible verse, Ecclesiastes 4:9-10, “Two are better than one because they have a good return for their labor. For if one of them falls, the one will life up his companion”. By joining these groups, you are joining the fellowship of the church. All of the people at church are striving to get to heaven and are helping each other along the way. When you join this group, you too are also being lifted up by your companions whenever you fall, and you will also do the same for others. 

Liz: That sounds great man! Thank you so much for helping me out in my difficult times! Bye dude.

Nick: No worries! Bye man.
