Author: Dr Kochurani Joseph

  • Young people should have three languages of life on their side: the language of the head to think clearly, the language of the heart to feel deeply, and the language of the hands to put what they think and feel into action.

  • Do not listen to people who reduce life to ideas and have thus lost the joy of life and the joy of encounter, but pray for them.

  •  This is all in Peter: the strength of the rock, the reliability of the stone, and the littleness of a simple pebble. Let us imitate the strength, the generosity, and the humility of him.

  • Do not be afraid to suffer criticism or economic loss to be faithful to the Gospel.

  • Differing currents of thought in philosophy, theology, and pastoral practice, if open to being reconciled by the Spirit in respect and love, can enable the Church to grow.

  • Treat others with dignity, not as objects; Fraternity necessarily calls for something greater, which in turn enhances freedom and equality.

  • Apostles taught us to mark with the Sign of the Cross those who put their hope in the Lord. It is not an image; it is reality.

  • The rise in teen suicides points to a deeper spiritual poverty in our culture today that leads young minds to believe they are failures.

  • It is easy to delegate charity to others, yet the calling of every Christian is to become personally involved; a culture of ‘haste’ can prevent us from stopping to care for others.

We pray the World Youth Day in Lisbon will help

 in their own lives.
