• When God reveals himself his message is always one of freedom, one that has to mature as part of a journey. 

• A deficit of hope is centred on the quest to mitigate suffering and various forms of social and economic oppression that are ubiquitous today, much of which is caused by this deficit.

•  If we really want to be happy, we need to pray because prayer connects us directly to God. Prayer fills our hearts with light and warmth; it helps us to do everything with confidence and peace of mind. 

• The life of the human being is a vocation; man and woman are created by God and are the image of the Creator for an Anthropology of Vocations. 

•  Disordered passions such as lust for wealth or vanity of pleasure divide our heart, trying to take possession of it. They seem seductive, but if we are not careful, we risk being torn apart by them. 

• God is not a detached master who speaks to us from on high. God is always close to us. God’s attitude can be expressed in three words: closeness, compassion and tenderness. 

• Never direct your eyes away from the light of Jesus. It is like what farmers used to do while ploughing their fields: while keeping their eyes fixed on a specific point ahead of them, they focused their gaze on that point, they traced straight furrows.

• Cultivate a welcoming outlook, become seekers of the light of Jesus, both in prayer and in people.

• The Church's mission is directed towards all peoples and requires the participation of every baptised Christian. 

• Mission is a tireless going out to all men and women, in order to invite them to encounter God and enter into communion with him. 

• Christians today are called to preach the Gospel with joy, magnanimity and benevolence that are the fruits of the Holy Spirit within them.
