On the occasion of the 25 years Jubilee celebration  of the Jesus Youth movement in Mumbai, the Pilot edition of the Kairos Global Magazine was released by His Eminence Oswald Cardinal Gracious and presented to His Grace Abraham Viruthukulangara, Archbishop of Nagpur Diocese and the Ecclesiastical Advisor for Jesus Youth International in the presence of delegates, His Excellency Mar Thomas Ellavanal, Bishop of Eparchy of Kalyan, Mgr. Emmanuel Kadankavil, Vicar General of the Eparchy of Kalyan, Fr. Jacob Thomas (Siju), Chaplain for Jesus Youth Mumbai, Dr. Edward Edezhath, Lay Animator for Jesus Youth International, Charles Bastian, Coordinator for Jesus Youth India. The occasion was witnessed by more than 2800 youth including priests and religious from Maharashtra and Gujarat.

I know that a tremendous amount of hard work and prayer has gone into turning this dream of bringing out a youth magazine in English a reality. Hearty congratulations to the whole team of Kairos Global! This magazine is an effective platform for the Jesus Youth movement to communicate to the younger generation. I found the content not just inspirational and genuinely relevant for young people, it is also presented in a way that instantly appeals to today’s youth. Kairos Global has been a dream for quite some time and Mr. Chackochan and team have put in a lot of effort to make this dream a reality. Kairos Global magazine will not only be a source of nourishment for the Jesus Youth Movement but also an effective tool for outreach and spreading the good news.  I thank the team for all the effort and pray that the Holy Spirit leads them most beautifully in addressing topics that's relevant to the younger generation.  May this serve as a beacon of light to lead them on and hold on to their faith in this confusing world they are living in. One of the first things that drew my attention to Kairos Global was its design - the selection of images, the typography and the clarity of the layout, I felt, will inspire anyone to pick it up and check it out. Secondly, the choice and spread of the content, is strikingly diverse- ranging from personal stories to Q&As and issues that are at the centre of a young person with an inclination to seek a way forward with Christ. The fact that the contributors are actually from across the world makes it relatable to the idea of the global magazine. The stories of Fionne and snatches from the life of Anup and Annilyn’s family do present a way of life of Jesus Youth - from a transformative initial encounter to a deeper calling in the family - making it truly a Jesus Youth magazine. I loved the idea of the movie and book reviews.... All in all a great pilot issue. I congratulate the team wish and pray for the upcoming issues.
