Father of Theirs
There’s something about them-they say
The way they smile when thorns lay their way.
Though harsh and rough their roads may,
They still stamp on, fighting day by day.
Like ice melting, on a hot summer day,
Their hearts too melt at the sound of one name.
And like one king, for all the many,
This name stands out above all names.
Lost I am, in the midst of tall bushes,
Crying I hope for the voice of their savior.
Will this sinner’s sound be heard in the heavens?
Oh, how I wish to see this father of theirs.
