Intro: Sheril Sijo and her family were the team behind the action song videos released on Kairos Studio YouTube channel. She writes about the miracle that made it all happen.

I have always known that God has a plan for everything. And yet, the way it unfolds in my life always blows my mind away.

This time around, the plan began in July of 2023. There was to be a training programme for parish priests, conducted by Jesus Youth, and they needed to find music support from the local JY circle. That’s how – and no surprises here – they came to contact Leo Antony. Leo is a full-time composer and one of the best musicians that JY Thrissur has to offer. The surprising bit happened when Leo decided to rope me in, based on a single choir we did together. I was over the moon. I had just returned from Saudi Arabia with my family and was missing the JY community terribly. Most of all, I was missing the music. And so, being called for this particular programme was answer to the deepest yearning of my heart.

Now this particular programme was spread over the course of seven days. Each day, there would be a different resource person and a different audience as well. The distinguished panel of resource persons included Dr Chackochan Njavallil, Director of Kairos Media. On the day that he handled the training programme, Leo and I were, as usual, supporting the team with music. I had never met Dr Chackochan before. But at the end of the day’s programme, he walked up to us and asked us if we’d be interested in doing an action song series for Kairos Studio YouTube channel. We were delighted and agreed at once. 

From then, things moved quickly. A list of songs was finalised and a release date was set. We got my daughters and a couple of their friends to start practising the steps. It all felt like a dream—until we ran into reality, which has turned many dreams to dust. Funds. Where would the funds come from and would we receive it in time? We had booked the venue for shooting and had three days left to start but we had no funds. And so we did the only thing that we could do. Pray. That’s when the real miracle occurred. A very generous JY from Saudi Arabia provided us with the entire amount we needed to complete the project! I marvelled at how when one takes a small step for Jesus, he takes big leaps for you. The project was completed and released on time and was appreciated by many. 

But the applause fades after a while. What never fails is God’s faithfulness. If you dream with Jesus, he will never let your dreams die.
