Intro: Jessa Jaison George shares her thoughts on Easter

When one thinks of Easter, the Easter bunny, chocolate, candy, and eggs come to our mind. But I think there’s a deeper meaning to all this.

Easter and Lent seasons are about how much Jesus loves us. The time we spend as Lent was the hardest part of Jesus's life. Jesus got crucified because he loved us so much and wanted us to go to heaven even if we were sinners. Someone so important, the only son of God, died for our dirty sins.

1st Peter 2:24 says:" And he himself bore our sins in his body on the cross". Jesus did it all out of LOVE.....

Easter Sunday....the day he rose again.....he conquered death and we got saved from our sins. He said in John 14:6 "I am the way, the truth and the life "He made a way for us to him through his death and resurrection. We know he lives because in Job 19:25 it says:" I know that my redeemer lives" and Matthew 28:6 it says: "He is risen."

Jesus did all of this for us and we can never thank him enough for what he has done for us. We can start by doing little deeds of kindness like helping out around the house, giving to the poor, sharing and praying for others.
